Hours for Two is a private shared calendar for two. We collect exactly what it takes for you and your partner to see each other’s free time and plans, and nothing beyond that.

What we store

Your name and the colour you picked; your device’s push token (only if you turned notifications on); and whatever you create in the app — free windows, date invitations, favours and reactions. We do NOT collect email, password, phone number, location, contacts or advertising identifiers.

How we use it

Solely to synchronise data between the two devices of your pair. We show no ads, do not track you, use no third-party analytics, and never sell or hand your data to anyone.

No account to sign into

Hours for Two has no email-and-password registration. Your device mints a random secret token and keeps it in the phone’s secure storage; the server holds only its irreversible hash (sha256), so a database leak grants no access to your devices.

Where the data lives

On our server (PostgreSQL, a data centre in the EU). A pair is an isolated container: only you and your partner can see or change what is in it.

Push notifications

If you turn notifications on, your device token is passed to the push delivery service (Expo → Apple APNs / Google FCM) for one purpose: telling your partner about a new window, date or favour. You can turn it off in your phone’s settings.

Deleting your data

Any time: Settings → “Delete account” immediately and irreversibly removes your account, your pair and everything attached to it (the push token included) from the server. “Break the pair” deletes the pair’s shared data and leaves your account.

Children

Hours for Two is not meant for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data about them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
